Gwynedd coast with young kids

We've been to the Gwynedd coast quite a few times but have never found much to do on a wet day, especially now we have a 3 and 5 year old. Can anybody recommend somewhere that we've missed?

We're going next week and Tuesday in particular looks pretty bad. We don't mind a trip to the beach in waterproofs but I'm sure there must be something else we could do, even if it's only for an hour or two. Bonus points if we can take the dog!

Anglesey Sea Zoo (is like a sea life centre)
Welsh Mountain Zoo

There's a plethora of castle in that area

Definitely go to Gypsy’s Wood (but not on a rainy day)
Dwyfor Ranch Rabbit Farm is sweet - Children can handle the small animals and hand-feed some of the larger animals. There’s a cafe onsite too.
Portmeirion is worth a visit. There’s a train ride included in the admission price that takes you around the key sights. On a nicer day, the kids would love splashing around in the lido in the village square. There are many lovely shops and cafes, including a great ice cream parlour.
Inigo Jones Slate Works would be good for a rainy day. You can wander through the workshops at your own pace and view the machines and craftsmen in action.
The Ffestiniog Railway runs from Porthmadog on the coast. Its half an hour to Tan Y Bwlch where there’s nature trail to Llyn Mair picnic site.

Greenwood is quiet good, and Anglesey sea zoo as pp said. I imagine you would need to book. Also the castles (conwy, caernarfon, Beaumaris ect). Pili palas (butterfly House) if it open is ok. Enjoy 🙂

Just to add, bounce below in Blaenau Ffestiniog ( not sure if there is age restriction) but it worth a look.

Definitely Pili Palas. My kids are now grown up and I’m thinking of borrowing a kid so I can go back there!

Colwyn Bay zoo?

Theres a soft play in Pwllheli called Y Den. Unsure if its open though.

You can also get the Welsh Highland Railway from Caernarfon to Beddgelert.

Thank you for all the suggestions. Tuesday is looking awful! Pleased we're not in a tent this time!
