We have been hoping to get away as have been working like dogs for the last 6 months and had dc at hone. Booked last week of aug of for max days because of bank hols (along with the rest of the UK it seems!) now can't find anywhere available
We are only a family of 3 I like luxury on our precious time holidays and we normally stay in a nice lodge with a hot tub somewhere but this year it's all to pot
I thought we might do 1 or 2 nights here and there eg 1 or 2 nights in a nice hotel, 1 or 2 nights glamping ( never tried) 2 or 3 nights in a caravan / haven /parkdean type place ( never tried) and just wing it! Think it might be quite liberating and if we don't go too far fro home we can just come hone if it's rubbish or as it's only 1 or2 nights we know it's not for long
I think we hype hols up so much as time is so precious but this year it will just be nice to be off work and together
