What do you love to find in a caravan...?

Just that really. Setting up our next caravan and this one is close enough that I can manage it myself.

We know everyone appreciates a little welcome pack (tea/coffee/milk) but what else do you think it’s great to find in your rented caravan when you arrive? Games? DVDs? Wine? Would love your ideas.

Games and DVDs would be great! Anything to help keep kids occupied on a wet day. Also plastic plates and tumblers for kids.
I imagine some families would appreciate use of a travel cot or bed guard.

Personally, I would appreciate nice glassware, I hate those tiny cheap wine glasses that seem to be in every caravan.

A cafetière we usually end up going out to buy one.

@DarkHumour very true about the glassware!

Hot, running water!

Scissors, tin opener, corkscrew, salt & pepper, cooking oil, kitchenroll, loo rolls, books & board games, DVDs

Decent knives
Proper sized mugs, not little tea cups. Same with glasses
An up to date list of attractions, cafes with WiFi, restaurants, takeaways including websites.
Drying rack (for towels and clothes)
Matches or lighter if BBQs allowed.
Bottle of cleaning spray (for kitchen surfaces)

Just think about how you will clean and sanitise stuff in these covid-times. The less you have about the easier it will be to make it squeaky clean

A clothes airer. Pegs. A sharp knife. Not a glass cutting board - these are in every caravan I stay in 😟 They set my teeth on edge!
Is your caravan on a big site? I don't expect or need a welcome pack. Nor anything over and above the basics. When we get a private caravan I can't bear all the owners knick knacks etc. Firstly because it takes up storage space for our stuff and secondly I'm paranoid about damaging stuff.

I love to find dvds, not just for children, freeview TV, a coffee machine with coffee or pods, some nice glasses including wine glasses, a bottle of wine, some milk, tea and sugar, maybe biscuits, some way to play music, e.g cd player or ipod dock, books, games, takeaway menus, and info about things to do in the area. I know. I'm spoilt! Most of all though, I like everything really clean and no noisy waterproof mattress protectors on the double bed.

Good sized mugs, good sized bowls, decent sharp kitchen knives, clothes airer plus pegs, corkscrew, can opener and a loo roll because someone always needs to go as soon as we arrive.

I’m not bothered about DVDs and games but I might feel differently if I had young children.

Just all the practical stuff really, I'd rather get my own biscuits, wine etc. And another big no to glass chopping boards, awful things.

Wine glasses. We are staying in a house with a pool-there are no wine glasses at all. I’d have liked glass and plastic. There are no plastic glasses/cups at all which seems mental around a pool.
