Got the chance of a van BH weekend. It's on a site between Pwllheli and Cricceth. Not bothered about the site facilities but what are the surrounding areas like?
Walking distance to a pub?
We have a car and plan to visit a few places but it's just the local area I'm not sure of?

Barmouth is nice if you fancy a drive, you will pass Harlech castle on the way. We found a nice beach with a cafe and a small church on the way, the only mention of it on line is this website for the church

Shell Island isn't far but I believe its closed for this year?

Depending where you travel from you might find some places worth visiting on the way here, its nice to brake the journey up

We've just come back from near criccieth. It's beautiful round there.

I don't know if you live in wales but it was a couple of steps behind England with opening up, so no restaurants/pubs were open inside. Consequently everywhere was booked in advance for food, so if you want to eat out plan in advance. We had Dylan's recommended.

We had a day out at Portmeirion which was fab. Went to the Ty Coch inn on the beach. Harlech beach is beautiful. It's a shame the castles aren't open yet as they look great.

We've been into Snowdonia on previous trips and there's some fab walks and lovely pubs.

Enjoy, wish we were still there!
