Tarararara · 02/08/2020 18:22

PGL family activity holidays keep emailing me - prices rock bottom (£69 pppn including all meals and activities)

Elouera · 02/08/2020 18:24

Lots of static caravan type places in North essex and Suffolk- Clacton, Seawick, Harwich etc.

StuporousFunker · 02/08/2020 18:40

We've just booked to go here: www.greenyurts.co.uk/osea-glamping/

'Tis glamping on a private tidal island in the Blackwater Estuary. Have been before and it was fab. Looks like they've still got availability in August from their website.

hairycabbage · 02/08/2020 21:05

I've spent all evening trying to find something for next weekend with no success so if you find anything please share (after you've secured your booking of course 🙂)

Evilwasps · 02/08/2020 21:15

Scottish schools go back soon so should be plenty available in Scotland at the end of August

Splattherat · 02/08/2020 21:24

Try Air BnB what is your budget, areas are you thinking of, how far are you willing to travel, do you have a dog, what do you like to do on holidays?

We have booked a cottage with Air BnB in the the east coast of Scotland for when Scottish kids have gone back to school, we have two teens and a dog (so need more room and lots of the nicer places don’t allow dogs).

okiedokieme · 02/08/2020 21:25

Just booked the Lake District for this week, family rooms available. Doubt everywhere is booked later in the month

toolatenow1 · 02/08/2020 23:26

Thanks all
Last week of August sat 22 for a week, can be flexible about a day or two

Wales or southern England ideally possibly Norfolk too

Budget up to 1500

Ideally a bit of luxury but I know I'm asking a lot

I've been trying to find a camping place with the tent and beds provided but can't find anything

Mangosorbetrocks · 03/08/2020 12:28

I’m also looking with little success. Our budget is tight, £1K and I haven’t managed to find any nice accommodations.

Mangosorbetrocks · 03/08/2020 12:29

Nope, all sold out for the last week of August.

Mangosorbetrocks · 03/08/2020 12:30

Who did you book it with please?

emmathedilemma · 03/08/2020 14:23

If you're willing to travel you might have more chance in Scotland as the schools are going back on the 11th August.

countdowntonap · 03/08/2020 21:06

Won’t give you luxury, but reviews are 9.1/10 on Booking.com.
£1131 for the week you want to go - family suite at Taldwrst Farmhouse on Anglesey

£930 - family suite at Timbers Country Lodge, Holt, Norfolk

Dogsaresomucheasier · 04/08/2020 22:41

Follow a resort you like on social media ready to pounce when they post cancellations!

ghislaine · 09/08/2020 18:28

Slades Farm glamping in Surrey have availability on your dates for £1380.

Or how about a nice hotel or apartment in London? Spend the week exploring the city when it’s not that busy?

Thirtyrock39 · 09/08/2020 18:31

Norfolk seems completely booked for everything- we tried for weeks to find a campsite have ended up going for Yorkshire dales. I think coastal holidays are pretty much impossible to find now especially with the good weather but you'll have more luck going inland with a drive to the coast
