Obviously our Haven holiday was cancelled in June and I've rebooked it for next year instead.
But we really would like a little break this year, even if its just 3 nights somewhere.
I've got a week off in August.
It'll be our last little break as a family of 3 as one on the way in January!

Where's good to go With a toddler in tow?
Were in South East Region and OK to travel up to 2-3 hours by car.

I said great yarmouth, but OH isn't keen!
Would like somewhere with a few attractions open for littlen to be entertained a bit.

Any ideas?

Obviously not too expensive either as on a budget!

Is Weymouth too far? There is a wonderful sandy beach, a fishing harbour and a good rock pooling beach a little out of town.

How about the edge of the New Forest so you can visit Paultons Park (assuming your toddler isn't very young).

When my DD was 2, we did a short stay in Centreparcs near Longleat and we had a lovely day at the zoo. Not the cheapest holiday but was lots of fun.

Chessington is fab for a couple if days with a toddler - themed hotel rooms, zoo, sea life centre and most rides are toddler suitable too

Southwold is a little further south than Gt Yarmouth and I prefer it.The foot ferry to Walberswick has reopened and makes a nice day out to explore a quieter sandy beach and go crabbing. The maize maze is opening at the end of July, and there’s a great play area for the under 7s at the maze. Southwold Pier usually has a few fun little rides and amusements including a Punch and Judy show etc... Africa Alive is close and is another good day out.

For a few days North Norfolk is nice:

Here has lavender fields and an animal park.
