Obviously looking forward a good few months, but looking for a lovely hotel with decent spa facilities for a romantic getaway. ☺️ Any ideas or recommendations?

The Langdale Hotel pricey but bliss! Armathwaite Hall is also vv nice as is The Gilpin. V jealous I’d love to be planning a posh spa break!

Thanks Badger; it's for a big anniversary! We're only an hour away from the lakes and know it well, but never actually stay there.
Will take a look.

Lamgdale with Brimstone is OK but refurbished Lodore near Keswick is better positioned and a better Spa.

I live locally and I definitely recommend Armathwaite!

Gilpin! Their lodges look amazing.

I like The Lakeside at Lakeside. Lovely food.

The Daffodil at Grasmere, or the Langdale. Both beautiful.

I do like Armathwaite, but it's a bit stuffy IMO. The spa also isn't as good as the Daffodil or the Langdale.

Alternatively, if you stay at the Drunken Duck (absolutely perfect pub with rooms) they have a partnership with Langdale Spa, which is close by.

No, really uncomfortable seating at the drunken duck if you're wanting to sit there with a few beers and a pack of cards.

I had numb bum before the mains arrived. Daffodil is on my list though I've never been

I was originally going to go for the Daffodil, but saw a few dodgy reviews on TA.. however, after trawling through a fair few places, most of them have a few bad reviews.
