To cancel center parcs?

We're booked for two weeks time and I'm feeling incredibly uneasy about it. Trouble is, wed lose all our money and moving dates to later in the year would cost a premium.

I know the Irish CP has shut. I presume the likelihood of English centres shutting too is now high?

Maybe wait as you'll get a refund if they shut.

PersonaNonGarter · 14/03/2020 10:27

Do you want to go?

If CP cancels they will need to refund you.

zombieapocalypseisnigh · 14/03/2020 10:39

If they close, they'll refund you.

I do know I wouldn't want to end up quarantined at a CP ... food is already outrageously expensive there, can't imagine financially surviving a quarantine there!

bemoreeverything · 14/03/2020 10:39

It might have been a good idea to contact CP to help make this decision. A quick glance at their website tells me they have a relaxed policy atm and will probably allow you to change it.

Check your emails. They are giving anyone booked in before the 27th a chance to rebook for a later date, with zero charges, just the difference in price anyway.

I'm sure that will extend if you are after this date.

flutterby31 · 14/03/2020 11:33

@maryberryslayers "just the difference in price" is from £479 in March to £1249 in August.

Then rebook for next year?

maryberryslayers · 14/03/2020 12:13

Of course it is, it's the summer holidays!

Why are you looking at August, book for late September/October or the same date next year?

flutterby31 · 14/03/2020 16:28

I'm a teacher with school aged children we can only go in term time.

OP posts:
flutterby31 · 14/03/2020 16:29

*out of term time!!

PersonaNonGarter · 14/03/2020 16:29

Well, what’s wrong with next year?

hannabarbera · 14/03/2020 20:11

Id still go. Im going in June, and I'm guessing this shit will have calmed down. If they don’t cancel I'm still going. I have another break next month, 1st ever from the kids and my eldest is 18! That looks unlikely so i wont be amused if CO cancel

WillowB · 31/03/2020 22:29

Did you get a refund @flutterby31?
We are booked for this weekend. Had an email from CP cancelling a few weeks ago. Filled out the online form but heard nothing since. The money would come in handy at the minute!

thisislovelyme · 31/03/2020 22:31

They are closed! Till end of the Easter holidays at least. I can't see them being able to open any time soon.

Pascha · 31/03/2020 22:37

closure and refunds/rebooking news

Skeleton staff working from home, huge backlog, working through bookings day by day. You will get processed in time.

MyHipsDontLieUnfortunately · 17/04/2020 09:31

Why do people have to be so fucking snippy? Take a look at your posts. Dickheads.
