I'm off to London next week for an overnight stay with my little girl...where is the best place to stay to be near Big Ben and Buckingham Palace??

TIA x

there is a holiday inn in Vauxhall nine elms ( a 20 minute tube ride from Buckingham palace) link to website. it will be cheaper than staying in Westminster itself x

Premier Inn at County Hall (next to London Eye) is a great spot and not too expensive. Rooms are basic but nice. I also use Premier Inn hubs which are great value and lovely clean rooms (very small but well laid out).

This is assuming you have a small budget! If not anywhere in the Westminister/South Bank area is good for Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. You do know Big Ben is currently covered in scaffolding so you can't see the tower or clock?

I'm looking at premier inns for 2 weeks time and they are about £150-£200 a night for central London. What's your budget? Sometimes it's better to stay a tube ride away. Premier inn has the edge over travelodge in the 'budget' stakes.

Premier Inn on Borough High Street! Right next to London Bridge station so excellent links to the rest of London and loads within walking distance. It's only a five minute walk to the river too!

We always stay at Premier inn at Blackfriars. It's near Blackfriars station and it's been modernised.

Thank you all - budget is about £100.00 (£120 tops) for one evening.

I'll take a look at the excellent suggestions here.

Thank you x
