We usually just hire a cottage and do our own thing but thinking of hiring a lodge during March. Got a 3yo and a baby who is 6m.
Would be Sherwood or Whinfell - which is best?
Where is good to stay?
Any activities you would recommend?
Thanks so much.

We had a week at Sherwood last week for the school hols, loved it. Yeah there are some annoying things like getting the car round to unpack and some queues for swimming but overall it's great. It was our 3rd visit and rebooked for march next year, Easter hols week for £799 for a 3 bedroom lodge isn't to much plus we eat in a lot and mainly do swimming so don't spend much there.

The staff are always lovely and you don't have to think much when you're there. We've found it very relaxing (as much as it can be) with young kids. Sherwood is lovely and flat. Restaurants are London prices. Supermarket is waitrose prices but very well stocked for baby stuff - nappies, bottles etc
