Legoland hotel or Slough Copthorne...?

Hi folks, we've been to Legoland once, around 6 years ago, and stayed 2 nights at the Legoland hotel.
We're going again this summer, and as much as we really loved the hotel, we can't see how an extra £100 per night is at all justifiable to stay on site, rather than at the Copthorne in Slough.

Does anyone have any pros and cons as to whether it is worth it? will the cost of taxi from Slough/cost of meals at hotels/parking costs/hotel facilities etc etc all add up to make it worth just biting the bullet?

We;re not rolling in cash, and don;t have money to throw away - but we're also happy to do what it takes to make things easier and more comfortable for us.

We would be staying 2 nights, not going swimming or anything, and would probably use the hotel restaurant at least one of the evenings. The park closes at 5pm on the dates we're looking at.

Why Slough?

The premier inn in Windsor is where we stay. 2 minute walk from the bus stop to legoland.

Thanks I'll have a look at that too. Is it close to the restaurants etc in Windsor?
Slough was one of the partner hotels that included park tickets and was a v reasonable price.
I have no idea re the hotels etc, so 4 miles from the park seemed decent to me. But if it's a hassle to get to the park then I'll think again.

Thanks, will google premier inn now 💕

We stayed at the copthorne the last 2 years. Food was reasonable I think about £12 per adult and kids eat free. Its buffet style food. Not the most amazing food in the world but it was plesent enough.
We had the car with us so I'm sorry no idea how much a taxi would be but it was about a 15 minute drive if that helps.

Depends if you're going in the school holidays or not. If you are then I would stay in the hotel because you get early access to the park so can get on some rides before the queues get ridiculous.

It would either be last week of June or first week of july. 2 nights midweek.

Thanks for the info re copthorne x

Slough itself is horrible. The hotel is okay, could do with a refurb and a good clean.

I would stay in Windsor if you have a choice.

Thanks. There dont seem to be any packages in Windsor. And hotel with separate park tickets seems much dearer. It's so frustrating.

What about the De Vere Beaumont estate? Anyone know much about it? Seems a nicer setting if eg the weather is good, for a glass of vino outside.

The Beaumont is very nice, I’d much rather stay there. Distance is about the same. I wouldn’t stay in Slough if I could help it.

Oh fab, it's priced between slough copthorne and legoland hotel so that sounds like a winner

We stayed near reading and it took my friends over an hour just to get off the car park and then all the surrounding roads were solid traffic. So on that basis I’d stay on site if you can!

Thanks everyone. Booked the legoland hotel. Cant wait 💝
