Lodge/Holiday parks in the Lake Districts

Just that really, ever been so don't know the area. We would like a dog friendly lodge with a hot tub. There seem to be lots of parks so any ideas would be great. Not too big and busy would be a bonus but a bar or restaurant on site would be good.

White Cross Bay is right in the heart of the Lakes.

Have you stayed there? Would you recommend?

I've spent a lot of time at white cross bay as a child. It's a nice site with Lake access but has been a lot more developed so not sure how nice it still is. It used to be very well kept but there's probably twice the number of vans there used to be on the site.

We’ve stopped at Keswick lodge retreat a few times; I really like it.

The Lakes are very dog friendly, find out which area you want to see then look for accommodation.
We have stayed here its just outside the Lakes but very good quality but peaceful too

We also like Keswick

Fallbarrow is within walking distance of Bowness with lots of - dog friendly - pubs and cafes. Or if you want to be more in the countryside then Limefitt has lovely surroundings , it is walking distance of a couple of nice pubs, but everything else needs to be driven to.

Ooh or just thought of another - Hartsop Fold has hot tubs and is walking distance to lovely dog friendly pub and great walks right on the doorstep.

How about ribbeyhall on edge of lakes

We have stayed at White Cross Bay twice, and both times enjoyed it. Very young child orientated. Ours love the activities and evening disco.

Fallbarrow is really quiet and rural with lovely views. We hired a hot tub lodge direct from owner and it was much cheaper than through Parkdean.

Ribby Hall isn't on the edge of the Lakes. It's not even in the same county!

Whitbarrow Village is lovely, high quality accommodation and great facilities

Limefitt is close to bowness, pub on site

And Ribby Hall is miles away 😂

North lakes lodges are out of this world

We’ve recently stayed at white cross bay with toddler DS and really enjoyed it. It’s in the middle of most of the tourist attractions, has a nice bar on site and a pool for the kids.

I loved whitecross bay too. The park owned lodges don’t get great reviews but there are plenty of private ones on the site that do.

We've stayed at Crake Valley Holiday Park. It was really lovely. We had a lodge with a hot tub, it was dog friendly and near Coniston Water
