Coach holiday with kids?

Has anyone been on a coach holiday with kids? I have one teen and one 5yo, single parent and am looking for a reasonably priced holiday this summer with my kids as I can't drive long distance. However, are most coach holiday goers older people and would they be annoyed with my young child? My dm goes on these type of holidays and she's 80 so I'm wondering if everyone is usually older and not be impressed with kids there?

I went in the 1980s as a teenager with my parents and it was great. You could see so much.
I think most of the passengers were older (but then everybody is "old" when you're 14!) but apart from one journey where the person behind objected to me reclining my seat, we never had any issues. I suspect a coach full of oldies would mostly find a five year old endearing anyway

I did one in 2012 (I think?) and there was one family with kids. Everyone doted on them and had no issues with their noise/energy. I do think the kids found it boring being surrounded by older people, though.

Definitely call the coach company and ask about the specific trip you're interested in. They'll have a very good idea of their demo.

Have a look at Siesta holidays if you fancy going to mainland Europe. Definitely child (and budget) friendly.

Thanks this sounds promising. I like the idea of being taken to a few different places and not have to worry about getting around. I'll keep researching thank you
