We are looking to move to York from Manchester next year, but have no idea where to start looking.
One child will be mid year 2, the other will be starting reception the following September, so ideally a local primary school that isn't over subscribed so we have a decent chance of getting the eldest in mid year.
Our other requirements are;
Railway station or bus route into York (we don't own a car).
40 mins max into York by public transport.
Good schools.
Village centre or some shops nearby.
Budget isn't too much of a problem as we're happy to downsize for the right location. We're happy to look at suburbs of York or villages close by.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
