Within about 2 hours drive of ne coast.
Going to lakes early on in month so a different place for this trip.
We do york to death as our caravan isn’t far from there..thought about harrogate..the old swan hotel has a lot of mixed reviews.
Beverley..never been.. ut it’s supposed to be nice
Hull. ... never been there either..
Whitby, Scarborough done al, up that coast
Newcastle might be a possibility..to actually stay there and not worry about driving home late
Other contenders are Manchester and Liverpool..I could drive there..but would maybe get the train

Hate feb birthdays

Cheshire and Chester area is nice. Not far from North Wales for beaches. Chester is beautiful. Also close to Liverpool. Manchester is OK for one night but its pretty grim in the centre for a holiday break.

Titanic hotel in Liverpool is fantastic if you want a bit of luxury. The area is being redeveloped, its a fiver in a taxi to the centre and its a really good place with lots to do.

Plenty of air bnbs around. You could stay in the pretty countryside but be a short drive from places of interest.

How about a canal boat holiday?
