Beautiful romantic UK hotels/retreats 3 hours from London?

Looking for somewhere to go with DP over Easter weekend where we can really recharge and relax but also not somewhere so remote there’s absolutely nothing to do.
Somewhere like the cotswolds close to Cheltenham where we can shop, cinema, spa if it takes our fancy would be ideal.
We stayed here www.bethnalandbec.com/ at Christmas and it was utter bliss so if anyone knows anywhere similar or an equally lovely spa hotel I’m all ears. Price not really an issue, I’d rather pay a bit more for somewhere special.

I spent my first honeymoon night at the Lasy Astor suite at Clivedon. We has afternoon tea in our room the next day it was amazing.
I spent my 40th at Maison aux Quatre Saison. That was in a league of it's own.

Wow they both look amazing! Maybe slightly out of budget, I probably should have said more around £200/£250 a night as we’ll be staying 3 nights

This has been one of my favourite places for 25 years. I used to live much closer to it than I do now but I still try to get there once a year. Plenty to do nearby.

Oohh @Delightful if this place had a pool or spa it would be spot on. Definitely a contender

Definitely look at the chain of hotels called The Pig. Whilst they don’t have a complete spa, they offer treatments and there’s one close to Bath and another close to the beach in Dorset.
Le Maison Talbooth on the Essex/Suffolk boarder had a completely different feel but still pretty romantic.
