identification for the kids? also, someone has told me that some airlines only let you fly with one adult per child?

I think you need something, brith certificate perhaps, the airline's website should say . Depends on age of kids , certainly under 2's usually need one adult per child unless you book a full seat for them and under 14's must be accompanied.

i have looked on easyjet cant find it. it will be myself, dh and the 4 kids. i dont want to have to pay for passports for the kids yet because its unlikely we will use them again till the year after next

You will need some form of ID for them to prove they are yours but it will depend on the airline. Some airlines need more than regulations state IYSWIM. I would call them and check.

does this bit help?

Children under 16 years of age traveling on UK, Italian, Spanish, or French domestic flights can travel without photo identification provided that they are travelling with an accompanying adult.

  • If an adult is travelling with more than one infant under the age of two years, but no less than six months, one infant may sit on the accompanying adult's lap and the other infant(s) must occupy separate seats and be seated in a car seat in accordance with the above table.
  • An adult with two or more infants aged six months or less cannot be accepted for travel.
