Staying nearby for a short break. What attractions/activities would you recommend with 14 year old DS in tow?

TIA

I've worked in Honiton and I'm honestly struggling to think of anything a 14 year old would enjoy! If you go into Exeter the tunnels under the city are interesting, and the hard hat they give you at the start is definitely needed! Failing that, the donkey sanctuary is good, but maybe for younger kids, or see if there are any events at West Point arena that might interest him

Thanks Muddle - I’ll check those out. Originally his older brother was coming too and it was going to be quality family time with games, dog walk, round the log fire watching films etc. Now he can’t make it and younger DS doesn’t want to be just with us! Kids eh!

Exeter- clip n climb is 15 mins away.
Haldon Forest just outside Exeter is about 20mins from Honiton. Forestry commission site great for mountain biking trails and Go Ape. Can prob hire bikes there too.
Lovely coastal walks between Branscombe and Beer.
Lyme Regis... SWIM is nice to eat at on the seafront and there’s a museum and v good TIC and fossil hunting in Charmouth.

Crealy. I haven’t been there for years but it’s a theme park on the Sidmouth Road near Exeter. My children are younger and I’m not really sure what 14 year olds like but mine love the Donkey Sanctuary. Also fossil hunting in Charmouth (near Lyme Regis) and then looking at the fossil shops in Lyme Regis.
