Family friendly hotels

Does anyone know of any family friendly hotels (not Cornwall or Devon) as too far from up north!!
I can't face going abroad next year. We went this year and I couldn't wait to get back as hate the heat and hate flying.

However I don't want to do self catering or caravans as it just ends up me doing everything and I might as well stay at home.
Somewhere that has good facilities for a 4 and 8 year old and where they can maybe meet other kids.
Thanks
