Nice places to eat in Folkestone and environs

We are going to Folkestone for a long weekend. Does anyone know anywhere nice to eat out? Anywhere to have afternoon tea? Any places worth visiting? We will be with children and lots of other extended family - our youngest is 4 weeks old and the oldest in the party is 83 - so venues must be family friendly although we might be able to persuade Granny to babysit whilst we go out with the childfree members of the family .

Not sure about eating out in folkestone because I don't tend to go there for meals, but there is a great adventure play area for the children in Folkestone. It is right by the beach, completely free, and there is loads for them to do!

Ah Pinkchampagne thanks. Where is it in Folkestone exactly - is it by the Leas or down the other end by the harbour and the sandy beach?

By the Leas from what I remember.
There is also a couple of good soft play places - huff & Puff, and Kids Planet.
