Taxi from Taunton station

Can anyone tell me how easy it is to get a taxi from Taunton Station? Is there a rank or will I need to book in advance. Travelling on a weekday. Thanks!

There is a rank. Usually fairly easy.

yes, should be fairly easy to get one, the rank is just outside the downstairs exit.

scratch that, I think they actually moved it to the platform 2 exit!

When are you travelling? There's currently a big police investigation going on near the station following a fatal traffic collision early this morning. Not sure if it's still ongoing (not in Taunton today) but you may need to factor in extra time.

Oh blimey, I've got to travel down tomorrow, attend a funeral then head back after the wake, all within a couple of miles of the station, not going is not an option, will try and book a cab, any advice re how much extra time I'll need? Thanks

Should all be sorted by then I'd imagine, happened the early hours of this morning. It may even be cleared by now. Maybe a local who has been out that way recently can confirm?
