Any ideas for a 4* hotel within about 30mile radius of Alton Towers, I have lost the plot!

Special treat for dds birthday, only need 1 night, but want to be near nice area, resturants etc for the second day after Alton Towers.

I have been her most of the day, looking at laterooms.com and expedia and I am no further.

Any help from personal experience would be very much appreciated

Yes there are 2, but not my taste and we would like to be able to eat outside the hotel. I think you would be stuck there after a long day on the rides.

Must be something nice as it is so near the Peak District.

This is 3 star but lovely.

No personal experience as we only live 25 minutes from Alton Towers, but look for hotels around Ashbourne/Bakewell/Buxton area.
