UK Oct half term weekend with kids entertainment

We're considering a three day UK break over the October half term. Would like to find somewhere with a bit of kids’ entertainment (a mini disco would be perfect) and may be some kids activities, but also with other stuff to do nearby, be that country walks or sightseeing.
I was considering one of the holiday parks but am a bit worried about being stuck in a cold cabin in late October in the rain…

A hotel or a cottage in a complex might better at this time of year, but not sure that many offer entertainment type stuff?
Location wise, looking within 2-3 hours of London (so not Wales/Cornwall/Scotland).
Oh, and I know that Center Parks ticks (some of) these but I'm not a big fan so looking for other options.

Sandyballs has evening entertainment www.awayresorts.co.uk/sandy-balls/entertainment/evening/ as well as a full children’s activity programme during the day. It also has an indoor pool. Most, if not all of the accommodation has heating and the newer properties have double glazing!

Have a look at hoseasons they have parks with children's activities and some sites have lovely accommodation on offer even having your own hot tubs.
if you just type a central point in the search and add on a 50 mile radius you should be able to see lots. I find it best to have 3 tabs open. 1 for hoseasons then another tab so you can have a look at what's in the area as you scroll through and finally another tab for tripadvisor to cross reference reviews!
