glamping or quirky hotel. Maybe New Forest or similar?

Id quite like to do something nice for our anniversary this year. We really like glamping, yurts, cabins etc, but also like quirky hotels - we enjoyed the pelirocco in brighton for instance.
I like the idea of the new forest, as i remember the ponies coming up to the tent when I camped as a child, but we dont have camping gear now and would rather glamp. Also like the idea of a boat. That sort of thing.
I love views and natural places more than cities, and am close to essex so would rather not be more than maybe 3 hours drive away, as it would only be for a couple of nights, although flexible-ish.
Does anyone have any ideas of recommendations.
Im scouring myself, but would love to hear recommendations from others.

Lovely peaceful place run by really nice people. Great breakfasts and homemade pizza on a Tuesday

Look up Tiny Homes Holidays on the Isle of Wight. Off grid glamping. It's absolutely lovely if that's your sort of thing.

Think they’re on Airbnb now though so you can search by location... not really “quirky” but we found it perfect for our short stay xx

We love the Crab and Lobster in Thirsk, little over your 3 hour limit but rooms are fab and the food is lovely. Lots to do neat by too, Fountains Abbey and Brimham Rocks are a must if you have NT passes.
