I'm a Gran looking for somewhere to entertain a nearly 3 yr old living near Finchley. I'll have a car this time so thought we could try somewhere further out. Can anyone suggest a good day out?

Belmont Farm is another nice one, and the RAF museum is great! Lots of space to run around, planes and vehicles galore, outdoor playground too- and a cafe. (And it's free, except for the parking!)

Further in rather than out, but I’ve always wanted to take mine to Corams Fields in Bloomsbury. Seems it’s got a little bit of everything.

Corams Fields looked very down at heel when I visited it earlier this year. I ended up at the Postal Museum instead.

My DC is 18mo so a bit younger, but I'll check back for more ideas- love taking him on little trips!

Golders Hill Park has a little "zoo", a play area with a big sandpit, and a nice cafe with a good selection of food- and ice cream!

Oh really Granmb? I haven’t been but thought it sounded good - maybe not any more. Shame

Corams Fields is I guess a little bit “down at heel”, but it’s still a lovely place!
