Best beaches in North Norfolk

We are in Norfolk for a few days, staying in Holt.

The weather is fabulous, much better than we anticipated, and I was planning to do NT houses, trip to Norwich etc. Now it’s so hot, I feel like we’d enjoy a beach day or two, but don’t know where to go.

Need to have a loo, and a car park. Maybe a shop for an ice cream. Will probably take our own lunch, though nice food suggestions also appreciated.

Thanks folks.

Holkham beach is gorgeous.

What Swishyswash said; Holkham is amazing.

Wells next the Sea is lovely.

Holkham is nice but I think it is a long walk from the car park to the sea when the tide is out. Wells is nice, and I also liked Brancaster. Old Hunstanton also nice, but with a few more bits of sand and pebble.

Wells next the sea is lovely esp. If you have little kids as the water is calm. Cromer is nice too, there were some great waves to play in when we were there. I recommend the boat trip to see the seals at Morston quai as well. We were in Holt at the beginning of August, I recommend the Indian there if you're having a meal out.

mockorangey, yes, Holkham Beach is a long walk from car park so, op, be warned, take a cool bag/box with eats and drinks. It's so lovely there with the sand dunes, worth a little walk.

Wells is nice, kids like crab fishing. There are a few good beaches up there.

Blakeney great for seeing the seals.
