is a six hundred mile drive feasible without stopping to sleep somewhere?

Just found this if it helps.

greensleeves · 29/07/2007 23:13

oh bloody hell, you can't then!!!

Aren't there any budget hotels or youth hostels or anything en route? Anything would be better than nothing, it's not safe not to sleep when you're driving.

cylon · 29/07/2007 23:17

thanks maureen. i'm looking at hotels from that link.
greeny, thats my problem. i'm taking the whole family, but havent organised anything......
i can make the kids sleep in the car, but not my parents.
why couldnt i find a place to go nearer to loondon?

they have family rooms

Tortington · 30/07/2007 00:07

B&Bs in carlise there you go knock yourself out

however remember that these are prices PP

so the family room could work out cheaper?

cylon · 30/07/2007 00:24

i can find two rooms in dumfries for 56 pounds per night, two adults on child each. we are five adults, three kids.
the other travelodge ones are only doubnles. at least on the website. i'm hoping that perhaps calling them in person tomorrow might help???????
i'm going to go have a good look at your link. thanks
