Good places to eat near Bude

Evening Smile

We are heading to Cornwall in a week's time for our holiday. We are staying in Morwenstow (about 7 miles North of Bude).

We have a self catering cottage but would definitely like to eat out some times.

Can anyone recommend any good places to eat around this area?

There is me, DH and our DS who is 5. No specific dietary requirements and we are not fussy Smile

35 minutes away is trevathan farm shop near port Isaac trevathanfarm.com/restaurant/

Also has a sandpit and play park and pick you own strawberries

If you want to go on a Sunday you have to book.

I'm afraid I can't remember the name, but if you drive to Watermouth Bay, there's a cafe bar to the north on the coast road. It's got beautiful views, and we enjoyed lunch there. DH had something fishy, and I had salmon or tuna nicoise (food allergies in my case kept my choice simple).

Widemouth Bay not Watermouth. Autocorrext fail. And it's called Elements. Quite fitting, as it was lashing down with rain when we went.

In Bude, The Beach does really good food. Life's a Beach is great and overlooks the beach. And Bank, along the canal does good tapas. I think they all have Facebook pages.

At crooklets beach in Bude there is an amazing stone baked pizza place. Called Rosie’s kitchen, but the pizza place attached only opens in the evenings. I can’t remember what it’s called, but there’s only one place there, it’s almost on the beach. Look for Rosie’s kitchen, looks a bit of a greasy spoon, but the pizzas are amazing.

The beach at bude hotel - would have to book I think.

Found it.

Starboard @ Rosie’s kitchen. Google has it, Facebook too. You won’t be disappointed.

Can’t comment on Rosie’s kitchen, but the pizza bistro open in the evening is fab.

The weir outside Bude has very very slow service. Took them an hour to bring us out food. We’d booked.

The Barge is fantastic and has an extensive children’s menu.
The Carriers Inn is a popular and family friendly pub with a children’s menu.
La Bocca is our favourite for pizza. There are other Italian dishes on the menu and a separate menu for children.
Waves is a very relaxed and homely restaurant that always welcomes children.

Ooh thank you for all of the suggestions so far! I'm making a list!
