Holiday cottage on the beach

BlackInk · 04/07/2019 15:04

I know it's a long shot... but could anyone recommend a holiday cottage somewhere in the UK located right on a beach, where you just step out onto the sand?
Rustic or basic is fine (preferred even), and anywhere in mainland UK.
Needs to sleep 2 adults and 2 children.

...It's been a rough year for us so far and for various reasons we can't really go away for a whole week anywhere and have left it so late to think about it! Just a few days to relax and soak up the sea air!

Thank you :)

I'm afraid I don't have links but there are a couple of apartments in big well restored Victorian houses in Weymouth that are right on the beach. Also there's one in Ringstead , Dorset. You'd need to search but that's right on a beach.

The National Trust has a cottage right on the beach near St Austell that has no internet or mobile phone signal. It’s Hemmick Cottage on this list: www.nationaltrust.org.uk/holiday-lists/beach-and-sea-view-cottages-in-cornwall

Have a lovely holiday. What a great idea after a tough time.

A friend stays here every year and loves it. Maybe not front door opening onto the sand but near enough.

Posted too soon, it's a quirky cottage, but walk out the back door and to the end of the garden and the beach is there. Very quiet beach, a little rocky, not massive but I went last year and loved it. Also close to loads of bigger beaches, st Andrews, Elie, and others.

A lovely small village with houses right by the beach

https://www.stablewoodcoastalcottages.com/type/heather-cottages/] I have stayed here it's stunning. Looks over to Holy Island. Walk through a sand dune and you are on a beautiful unspoilt beach. You can walk along the beach to Banburgh
