What are the nicest Q Hotels?

I have stayed in a few Q hotels and generally find them to be nice hotels with great quality treatments for a reasonable price. I’m thinking of booking a spa trip and wondered if there are any you’d recommend (or wouldn’t)?

I’ve been to Mottram Hall a few times and it’s one of my favourites. It isn’t a Q hotel any more and I wouldn’t rule out going but would like to go somewhere new.

Oulton Hall was very nice but I found the spa and pool area to be dirty.

The Queens is very close to home and work and in the city centre so I’ve been to events there but don’t fancy staying there.

Slaley Hall was very nice and we’d stayed in a feature room.

Stratford Manor was a bit of a let down.

I wouldn’t rule out other hotels outside the Q Hotel group but they tend to have good deals eg dinner, bed, breakfast and spa treatments for 2 for £250-300

We really liked the Daffodil Hotel and the Langdale in the Lakes.

The Midland and Crewe Hall are two of my faves.

Thank you. That’s handy as the Midland and Crewe Hall are not too far from us either. I think when I last looked at the Midland it had some kind of time slot system for using the spa area though. Will take another look!

Not a Q hotel but Carden Park is very nice, and they sometimes have offers.

Thanks I’ll look at Carden Park. I’ve never heard.

I went to Belton Woods-Grantham I think, a couple of years ago, just before Christmas, it was lovely!! Timed spa treatment slots but everything else wasnt. Stayed over for 1 night, evening meal & breakfast were lovely!! We had a carvery for our evening meal & eyes were a bit too big for our tummies-<img loading="lazy" class="inline-flex mumsnet-emoji" alt="Grin" src="https://www.mumsnet.com/assets/images/mumsnet-emojis/base/grin.png"><img loading="lazy" class="inline-flex mumsnet-emoji" alt="Grin" src="https://www.mumsnet.com/assets/images/mumsnet-emojis/base/grin.png">-but we still wanted dessert<img loading="lazy" class="inline-flex mumsnet-emoji" alt="Grin" src="https://www.mumsnet.com/assets/images/mumsnet-emojis/base/grin.png"><img loading="lazy" class="inline-flex mumsnet-emoji" alt="Grin" src="https://www.mumsnet.com/assets/images/mumsnet-emojis/base/grin.png"> & there was no rush from the waiting staff to vacate our table, as we waited & chatted for about 45 minutes between finishing meal & ordering dessert!!<br /> Couldnt fault them on anythingSmileSmile
Plus it`s right next door to a lovely garden centre & right across the road from NT Belton House.

The spa at Crewe Hall gets shockingly bad reviews. I've never even considered trying it when I've stayed there as the reviews are just grim and very off-putting. I also think the food at Crewe Hall is pretty poor. Shame as it's a very handy location for an overnight stop-off from the M6 and it could be amazing but instead it's a bit meh.
