Have any of you been on a retreat that you'd recommend?

Maybe mindfulness, maybe a bit of gentle (beginners) yoga or something?

I fancy doing something on my own and I'd prefer personal recommendations over google.

Or should I just book myself and airbnb and load the car up with books and wine?

I did a meditation weekend at a local Buddhist centre. It wasn’t a silent one or anything, but it was quiet and calm. Veggie food, slept in a dorm, was lovely.

Where was that, Faster? I think my daughter went to the same one. (Think it was in the Lakes.)

This is where I went.

Oh that's a more upmarket one than the one she went to, I think.

I've been to one of the mummytribe retreats at Fair Oak Farm in East Sussex which was brilliant! They have loads other retreats too so definitely check out what else they have coming up - www.fairoakfarm.co.uk/wellness-retreat-venue

@parpsqueak did you decide on anything in the end? I'm in a similar position in August and can't decide what to do!

Not a retreat as such but i rented this off grid cabin and spent a week chilling out. It was fab.
