Gorgeous family hotel in SE England

Family with three kids looking for a great hotel with at least one heated pool which the kids can use all the time, preferably near woods / countryside and more than one option for eating out on site or nearby.

Preferably within a couple of hours drive of SW London.

Must have modern rooms and bathrooms and must be beautiful.

Carey's Manor is in the New Forest and has a pool but it's an indoor pool within the spa rather than an outdoor pool.

I once stayed in a lovely hotel in Sandbanks - right next to the chain ferry. Might be inventively called the Sandbanks Hotel or something like that.
