In UK but like abroad

I've recently returned for a holiday in Spain. It cost much more £££ than I'd ever normally want to pay but was a special family occasion so I sucked it up.

6yo DS loved it.

I hate flying, I find it stressful and when I'm away I'm worrying about the flight home! Anyway, it for me wondering where could I go in the UK that'd be similar?

I know the weather won't always play, but assuming it's summer and warm in the UK-

I want a nice hotel, pref half board but at least including breakfast, with a pool, a sea view (for when it's my turn to 'babysit') and stuff in the vicinity occupy kids - that's also nice for the adults to relax in the evening.

Any suggestions?
