We're merging some sections into the Travel advice area

Hi all,
We’re doing some work on making the Talk boards more useful and user-friendly for both regular and new users. After looking at some stats for the site, we think we could boost activity on the whole by merging some of the lesser used sections.

We’re proposing to fold the topics in this section into the general Travel advice area.

This should increase the number of topics in the section - and hopefully lead to more posts and responses to members.

No, I think this is a really bad idea.

If I want to look for info travel in the UK, I don't want to have to wade through zillions of threads about holidays abroad. It'll make is all so much harder and way less friendly for users.

What would help, though, wouid be if you moved the gazillion London threads into the London topic. It would make both a considerably better resource, and it would be clearer and easier to use.

I think it would be most user friendly if you kept three sections in Travel based on geography - UK, Europe, Worldwide. Longhaul, shorthaul, days out etc all fall easily into those wherever the MN user lives.

Oh not again. Please don’t do this you will wreck the travel Board.
