To rent or own ?
We have a van just outside Abergele and lots of nice sites in the area.
The Beach at Llandullas is v nice and directly on the beach ( funnily enough with that name ) if you want to be on the coast. We are on a more countryside park.

Hafan Y Mor is big landscaped south facing caravan park with its own sandy bay. It’s got stunning scenery, fantastic facilities and masses of activities. Talacre Beach is similar - it’s large but it’s got everything you could possibly need including direct beach access.
Ty Mawr (close to Rhyl) has a really good indoor pool with a flume and the entertainment is good too,

We've been here a few times when the DC were younger, lovely park and nice walk to the beach.

There's lots near black rock sands, which is a lonely beach. We stayed at the have site - green acres.

ballsdeep · 03/05/2019 07:33

We have stayed in greenacres and love it

Between the sea and mountains. Really nice place

The further west you go the nicer it is, the beaches at Rhyl and Presyatyn are grim, vast flat sand and the sea goes out a long way.

We stayed at Presthaven which is a nice site but the beach was awful, it stank and was full of flies, you come across sludge if you try and dig to build a sandcastle.

I feel the Llyn Peninsular is the best for a family holiday as it has beaches things too do and Snowdonia is a short drive.
sites plenty to choose from depending if you want busy or quiet.
Little bit of info here
www.donthibernate.co.uk

The Rhyl Prestatyn end is a bit to commercialised for me but lots of people love it, really I wouldn't go north of Llandudno, so any place between Llandudno and Barmouth should be good, best beaches, small towns and villages, Conwy, Llandudno, Betsw y coed, Fairy Glen, plenty to see and do.
Let us know what you decide on, I would base your self here
www.barmouth.org.uk
The drive north to other places is easy and nice with loads of good beaches, I believe the train journey is nice too.
