Sandy Balls swimming pool-booking a slot?

Looking at Sandy Balls for the summer holidays, but noticed that it says that the indoor pool gets booked up and we need to book slots when we book the lodge.
Has anyone been in the summer, is the pool always heaving?
Thanks.

We went a few years ago and it was always busy. You could go in the outdoor pool whenever you wanted but it was too cold for little children to stay in for any length of time. We tended to try and book first thing in the morning or last thing in the evening so that we could go out and about during the day if we wanted without having to rush back for some awkward time.

Ok thanks. That’s a bit of a pain, but we’re up early anyway...

We've just come back from there and over Easter hols (Welsh, English were back in school) it was v busy. People being turned away from morning open sessions as over capacity. So I'd say yes def book the afternoon slots.
