We are ex-pats bringing the dc over to see where the DGPs live so having a holiday in the South Hams area of Devon.

DH is suggesting we make a day of our trip back to Bristol airport but he wants to go via his old stomping ground in the Quantocks.

We're after something we can tie in with that for a couple of hours to amuse the DC and my folks. So, Anywhere between Totnes and Bridgewater or Bridgewater and Bristol Airport. Any recommendations?

My folks are National Trust members if that helps.DH is saying just find a soft play somewhere!

Puxton Park is great for DC - cross between a farm and a zoo with soft play and outdoor play areas, falconry displays and all sorts.

Just of the M5 close to Bristol.

The adjoining farm shop restaurant does the most amazing breakfasts!

The seaside town of Clevedon is only a quick hop from the M5 and makes a good spot for a short break. There is parking at Salthouse Fields. In the summer there is a boating lake, miniature train rides, bouncy castle and other attractions. Seaside walks are available all year around down to the historical pier or for good views, across the headland. If you have time to extend you visit, National Trust’s Clevedon Court is also just off the M5 nearby.
Diggerland is no more than 10 minutes from junction 28. Great fun whatever the weather. Children must be 90cm tall to go on the rides but there’s a good play area for smaller children.

Wookey Hole
Cheddar Gorge

Touristy, but my dc loved them.

Thanks everyone. Just the kind of answers I was looking for! will Google for more information.

Dh and I both did cheddar and Wookey Hole when we were kids but not been since. Touristy isn't a problem.

Will measure the kids in case Digger land is an option. They're 3 and 4. This is all weather permitting too. We're talking about a few weeks time.

Puxton sounds like a good option.
