Hi everyone quick question (which I can't seem to find anywhere online), me and my partner recently ended our relationship and I'm looking to move to newham. I've found a lovely 2 bed flat for me and my baby but the problem is the whole area requires residential parking permits. The car on my ex's it's in his name but we did share the car. He has gratuitously said I can use the car until I buy my own as we have a child and I will be needing it more than him. He works in the city so hardly drives it anyway. Im wondering if anyone has come across the council websites and seen if I will be able to obtain a residential parking permit even if the car is not on my name. My ex has said he will write a letter to explain to the council why I would be needing this. Any thoughts?? Thanks guys
