We've been to Seahouses before and loved it. Fancy a weeks break over summer in a cottage as close to a beach as possible. Hit me with suggestions place wise please. I'd like some local amenities but also a less busy area! Thank you

Beadnell?
Bamburgh?

Biancadelrioisback · 14/02/2019 12:55

Amble is nice

Creatureofthenight · 14/02/2019 12:55

The beaches at Bamburgh are gorgeous!

Craster / Low Newton / Alnmouth?

I always say on Northumberland threads that the county is so much more than the coast and the popular part of the coast is relatively small. There really is so much to see & do within an easy drive to the coast Smile

Agree with @northumberlandlass
I'm also from Northumberland and we love going out for walks at the weekends

Love Craster but no phone signal and limits WiFi upset The Teen!
Bamburgh and Holy Island are lovely too

bellinisurge · 14/02/2019 13:17

Craster. Dunstanborough Castle.

Another vote for Beadnell. The beach there is a sheltered bay and many of the cottages have sea views. I would say all were within walking distance of the beach. We used northumbriancottages.co.uk

Definitely visit the beach at Low Newton and go to the Ship Inn - its great (or rather it was the last time I visited - admittedly a couple of years ago...)

Georgiemcgeorgeface · 14/02/2019 16:34

Thanks all Beadnell looks fab. Well they all do! Just to find a cottage now!
