Yes or no?Is Centerparcs just for under-10s?

the website looks like it's very much aimed at little kids, babies, toddlers. Would it be too babyish for 9/ 10 year olds?

the swimming pool can be enjoyed by all ages as can the sports activities - check what's on offer at the center parc your thinking of going to.

Def not, we went earlier thos year with 5 yr old & 8 yr old and have booked for later in the year when eldest will be 9. Considering taking my nephews who are 11 & 13. Loads of sporty activities are for 8 yrs and older, go for it

Me and my DP went on our own and had a fab time

i'm taking my 3 in 4 weeks time - 12, 10 and 5. They are completely over-excited and have plans to do everything from quad-biking to archery!

it's like a service station but without the cars. and the food is rubbish.

How funny as I look at the activities and think it isnt aimed at my trio but more at older so from 6-14 I would say.

Center parcs is better suited to the over 10's as they can take part in the sporting activities. IMO there is not really anything for the under 8's to do unless they want to swim and ride bikes all day.

I like center parcs but I do have to agree with Bundle is exactly like a big service station.

I still remember the elation when they raised the barrier and we were allowed to drive away

Bundle said it for me. i'm so relieved to find someone else who feels the same way as I do. Everyone around me, well on MN always talks of Centre parcs, I went, I was horrified!

Maybe, just maybe for older kids so you can let them go off in relative saftey and enjoy sorty activities. But with young kids - no chuffing way I'll ever go again.

It's got a good swimming pool area. End of.

Hated having dicatated to me where I;d shop, eat, etc etc.

Give me car hire and the open road, a beach, a town, a museum, a pool, a choice of restaurants and cafes that I can have fun discovering on my own any day.

The day we finally got back thre was mail on the mat and the first thing I saw was from Centre Parcs asking us to come back soon! Agggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Given it's title I wasn't expecting this thread to give me the best laugh I've had all day

We went to Sherwood Forest with our 3yo son and he loved it! He loved seeing the wildlife, thought ducks coming to knock on the patio doors was great and never tired of spotting squirrels and rabbits. There are a few soft play areas and outdoor play areas which kept him amused for ages and a little beach at the SF one which he spent hours on digging and playing with other kids.

We were fortunate to go early May when it was very warm and I did think if it peed it down we probably wouldn't have had so much fun! He certainly didn't want to go in the kids club or do any planned activities.

So although it wasn't cheap we only spent money on food when we got there as he was happiest feeding ducks and climbing on soft play stuff! Maybe I have an easily pleased child!

We're going again but booking nearer the time to check on the weather!
