Center Parcs - how busy is the pool 7-9pm???

Can anyone help give me an idea of how busy the pool at Center Parcs is in the evening between 7-9pm?

DS2 is autistic and we are just back from Elveden. We have been before with no issues, but this time he really struggled with how busy and noisy it was in the pool. We lasted half an hour each time and then had to go. We were there in the morning first (far to busy) and then tried tea time (around 5.30pm) hoping to avoid the crowds, but even then it was too much.

I spoke to Guest Services and they suggested that maybe the last two hours would be better, as the Cyclone ride shuts at 7pm, so noise levels could potentially be lower. Just wondering if this is the case or whether it is still pretty busy? Is there a massive difference between mid-week and weekends at this time?

We have enjoyed our breaks in the past and DS1 loves it there. It ticks all the boxes for DH too, as he drives a lot for work, so a break where he doesn't need to go near a car appeals. DS2 loves swimming as well and having the pool there is one of the main reasons we go. I am really in two minds about whether to book again. We managed this time, but it wasn't the family break we wanted it to be. I have found a self-catering cottage nearby that offers short breaks and has an indoor swimming pool. In some ways this would be ideal, but it would just be a pool. Fine for DS2, but there wouldn't be all the slides, wave pool, rapids etc that DS1 loves.

Hmmm, not sure what to do. Any thoughts greatly appreciated!

We have the same issues with my DS1 (he is now 19 and autistic), in fact last time we visited Elveden he refused to visit the pool full stop.

We have found that the best times to use the pool are either as soon as it opens at 10am (lovely and quiet for the first half hour or so) or later in the evening. Midday until around 5.30pm is hideously busy and we always stay clear.

We always go for weekends so cannot really answer the midweek vs weekend question. I imagine midweek term time would be quieter during the week though. In the school holidays I can't imagine it makes much difference.

We’ve just arrived back from Elveden today (so midweek break) and the pool was fairly empty between 10&12 for us but absolutely barren by 6/7pm as most people there this week had pre school age children and we’re heading towards dinner bath bed or kids disco etc by that time. In previous visits to sherwood over the weekend pre kids we always used to go up around 7pm and the pool was very empty too
