Can anyone help give me an idea of how busy the pool at Center Parcs is in the evening between 7-9pm?
DS2 is autistic and we are just back from Elveden. We have been before with no issues, but this time he really struggled with how busy and noisy it was in the pool. We lasted half an hour each time and then had to go. We were there in the morning first (far to busy) and then tried tea time (around 5.30pm) hoping to avoid the crowds, but even then it was too much.
I spoke to Guest Services and they suggested that maybe the last two hours would be better, as the Cyclone ride shuts at 7pm, so noise levels could potentially be lower. Just wondering if this is the case or whether it is still pretty busy? Is there a massive difference between mid-week and weekends at this time?
We have enjoyed our breaks in the past and DS1 loves it there. It ticks all the boxes for DH too, as he drives a lot for work, so a break where he doesn't need to go near a car appeals. DS2 loves swimming as well and having the pool there is one of the main reasons we go. I am really in two minds about whether to book again. We managed this time, but it wasn't the family break we wanted it to be. I have found a self-catering cottage nearby that offers short breaks and has an indoor swimming pool. In some ways this would be ideal, but it would just be a pool. Fine for DS2, but there wouldn't be all the slides, wave pool, rapids etc that DS1 loves.
Hmmm, not sure what to do. Any thoughts greatly appreciated!
