Just wondering if anyone can recommend a place to stay in Liverpool for 12 people in June.

It’s my 30th birthday and we’re only planning on staying for 1 night (Sat 22nd-Sun 23rd June) if anyone can help, it would be much appreciated.

Look into Signature Living - they do party apartments for groups.

Signature Living apartments are great, right in the centre

Dontknowwhattodo23 · 13/01/2019 14:20

I’ve been looking at the signature living apartments, they look amazing!

They won’t let me book just one night unfortunately, so if I can’t find anything else I might just have to book Friday to Sunday and have an extra night.

Do you know of anything similar to signature living, that’s exactly what I’m looking for. If not we can book separate hotel rooms.

Any places you can recommend for going out?

Thanks for the replies

I’d start off in concert square, especially if the weather is nice, it’s perfect for a few drinks in daytime. Then make way down towards the cavern club area and finish off in Mathew street. It’s been a while since I’ve been though.

If you did go for signature living there’s an amazing Italian nearby called casa Italia, the best Italian food I’ve eaten and there’s always a queue out of the door. Reasonably priced and quick too

I actually think you might be able to hire barges on the Albert Dock to stay on. That would be amazing for a group of people.

Each to their own but I would avoid concert square/Mathew street as they’re just full of chain pubs that you can find in any city. No locals will go there as it’s full of tourists and pretty soulless. I’d go for Seel Street instead and visit the bars down there or maybe the Baltic Triangle. But obviously depends what you’re after really.

Dontknowwhattodo23 · 13/01/2019 14:45

Thank you MrsMoggy.

That’s really helpful and I do enjoy a good Italian.

Posh pads are great! You might have to split between apartments but you can get two apartments on one floor.

It may be a bit of a wild card, but have you considered the Youth Hostel.

Baltic Market is a fab place to start and have something to eat, plus other pubs on site.

What sort of night out / music are you looking for?

Dontknowwhattodo23 · 13/01/2019 14:53

I’ll look into Posh Pads - thanks!

I’ve never stayed in a hostel but have been looking at them. I was a bit confused about the sleeping arrangements. Do you have to share rooms with strangers?

Anywhere I can get a nice cocktail and then later on clubbing.

They do private rooms for groups now with en-suites, so not as grim sounding as it initially feels. Granted not luxury, but I imagine it's more of a bed for the night than anything else for one night out.

Dontknowwhattodo23 · 13/01/2019 15:03

That’s definitely a possibility if everyone else is up for it. Thanks

Sorry Wombat, just saw your reply. I’ll look into that now, thanks!

If you have a look at Epic Apart Hotels, have a search on the website staring at the Duke Street one and there the penthouse and another apartment, both sleeping six, and both available!

Have look at the shankley hotel they do group rooms and I’m sure we’ve booked them for 1 night before.

Notquiteagandt · 13/01/2019 18:23

30 james st have fab group rooms.

Id say look at seel st, castle st, baltic triangle and the docks for drinks.

This will help you as well as a few fab liverpool threads on here rescently.

What type of bars are you into?

Dontknowwhattodo23 · 13/01/2019 19:06

I like a nice cocktail bar but also don’t mind a Wetherspoons, very easily pleased as long as I can have a good drink and a dance.

I’ll have a look at James Street now, thanks.

OP posts:
Dontknowwhattodo23 · 13/01/2019 19:07

That should have said after, don’t dance in Wetherspoons, as the ones where I live don’t usually play music, bar one.

base service apartments are nice, I've used them twice and been happy with them. The location is close to the centre and the apartments are well equipped.
