My lovely DP booked a spa break as my Christmas present! It’s for a Sunday evening in Cirencester - we are planning to stay there and then go to Bicester Village for a day as it’s closer than we usually are.

We then want to stay in the area until Tuesday or Wednesday but would ideally like to stay elsewhere to see it as I’ve never been anywhere near there before! How silly of me Grin I’d like somewhere with interesting things near, and some nice places to eat and have a few drinks maybe?! Can anyone help little old hermit me out?Grin

Visit Stow on the Wold and Moreton, Cheltenham or even Bath only an hour away.

Bourton on the water is SO pretty!

Why go anywhere else? Cirencester is a brilliant town. Loads of unique shops and tons of lovely pubs and restaurants. You can then do day trips to places like Cheltenham or bibury which is lovely for walks. Spent 30 years living in or visiting cirencester so I know it well.

I was thinking about visiting Bourton on the Water! It looks so cute.

We may well stay in Circencester, but if we’re doing the longggg drive down there we’d like to see a bit more without driving too much about Grin god I sound fussy!

Tetbury and the arboretum at Westonbirt just down the road are lovely too.
