Accommodation in Northumberland - any recommendations?

Looking for somewhere for DH and toddler, reasonably priced and near to beach and places to visit. For a few days in August (more if cheap!!) Any ideas out there?!

try and get Alnmouth itself which is beautiful..we've stayed there lots and it's perfect for a low key hol with young kids..Alnwick is a short drive away if Alnmouth not possible
