Looking at booking centreparcs for the first time. Happy to travel wherever really. So wondered what MNs think is the nicest centreparcs designation. I know that can be very subjective. I mean in terms of cleanliness / good facilities/ staff etc. Also is there any you would avoid.
We were leaning towards Sherwood but I have been told the pool isn't as nice there. The pool is definitely somewhere we plan to visit afew times so this has made me rethink.
Thanks

There s no point travelling miles since the concept is the same at each and all have great pools in terms of kids areas and slides rapids etc so you can spend hours in the pools.
Go for the nearest on a midweek term time deal and see if you like it.

Following with interest! I've been to Sherwood Forest and the Lake District one (can't remember the name) and loved them both but that was about ten years ago as a teenager! Looking to take our 14mo early next year but will probably be one of those two as don't fancy driving more than 2 hours.

Sherwood is big and flat. No big inside spaces
Longleat is big and hilly. (think horseshoe shape with the lake in the middle and the villas at the top. Lovely centre.
Woburn is small and hilly. But new and so so warm in the villas and the pool area. Big inside areas.
Elveden is brilliant with lots of outside playgrounds.

OP I was just going to start a similar thread. We have been to Whinfell several times, but minded to try a different one when we go in the Spring, not least because it’s so depressing to drive to the Lakes and stay at Center Parcs rather than among the hills, thank you small children.

Anyway our eldest is 12, and
I was wondering which is the best CP swimming pool for your average tween? We are thinking of Sherwood but could go anywhere. Which one has the best pool slides etc?

Fantasisa · 06/12/2018 15:34

Sherwood has a good pool, Woburn, weirdly because it is the newest, has the worst pool for older children but it is good for little ones.

Fishlegs · 14/12/2018 22:48

Oh thanks Fantasisa that’s really helpful. I had images of Woburn being amazing for older kids, would have been gutted if we’d braved the traffic and the pool was less interesting than Whinfell.

Woburn has good enough slides and rapids. My teens were entertained.

Can’t remember what it’s called but the one in the south west is amazing, they’re pool was great, they also have the wildlife park/massive zoo next to it that you can go to for the day as well.

Elveden is the best ime.
