Recommendations for ghost tour or other evening activities on York please

My mum and 2 dc 9 and 12 are having an evening in York in October

Any recommendations please?
Was thinking comedy ghost walk or something else to entertain?

Do some chocolate making at York Cocoa House. They're open until 9 on some evenings. You can just turn up and make chocolate lollipops without booking. If you want to do more you have to book a special workshop.
The 'Spy School' Escape Room is suitable for children aged 10+ but could be ok for a mature and bright 9yo.
Rainbow Ceramics Cafe is open until 7 on Thursdays.
