Is there an easy way to get from Norwich to Blackpool?

I am seriously considering a helicopter?

I cannot drive - it will take hours

I cannot find flights (but I could be being a prat)

I guess I could get the train - but it really doesn't appeal

Any ideas?

Could you face driving overnight on the Fri-Sat? That way DD could sleep all the way there.

we wouldn't get there until midnight (earliest) & then coming back will be a nightmare

I see this becoming much more likely

Oh, I wondered if it was that - Blackpool seems to be the centre of the universe for ballroom dancing

That M6 route wouldn't be too bad - I tried to link to it but Michelin won't - if you click search here it should bring it up again.

(IME Michelin routes are much more sensible than AA/RAC)

I see what you mean about dancing vs school but what if she just missed Fri afternoon at school? Then you would be up here by evening rush-hour, and going back Sun afternoon should be OK.

It's a bugger isn't it

Oh I will have to see if we have to cancel it

I'm really not sure

that is one of the biggest problems with living in Norfolk - it is a bl**dy long way to anywhere else !

well it is about 1 1/2 hrs to Elveden from here

which means it's about 2 hrs to a motorway

A nightmare
