Lovely spa hotel near Herts?

I looked at Champneys and it was nearly £600 for two nights when I want to go. Has anyone been to somewhere lovely that I can consider? I'm pregnant so just want a lovely pool and pregnancy massage. Thanks

sopwell house is lovely.

The Grove

I like Q Hotels and they are usually quite reasonably priced and have good deals. You could see where the nearest one is to where you want to go.

Thank you.

Sopwell House. Lovely place. You can get vouchers that include a meal, a treatment and use of the spa facilities. One of the nicest places I have been. Very helpful friendly staff.

I've been and it was the worst for me. I left after an hour of being ignored in cafe while they fussed over a footballer; then couldn't get a lounger by the crowded little pool. I got a refund and left.

Doesn't look like they've got one of them in herts.

Sopwell house was nice the time we went but the pool did get quite busy I think some people couldn't find anywhere to go.

grove is supposed to be v nice I've only looked at resaurant which is £££ for us

Dalesgirl16 · 23/09/2018 18:25

No q hotel nearby.

I've been to the Grobr for the buffet lunch - pricey and nice.

Just seen the prices for spa and stay and it made Champneys look a bargain. Champneys is full board too.

Grove, not Grobr!

Hanbury Manor? I really like Champneys Tring but only when I have an offer!
Congratulations by the way!

Another vote for r Sopwell House

peachypetite · 23/09/2018 18:35

Sopwell house spa was recently out of action so make sure you check! Orsett hall?

BloodyForeigner · 23/09/2018 19:23

Check out Secret Escapes website for offers. They had Champneys on there recently so you may get a good deal there or somewhere else.

Dalesgirl16 · 23/09/2018 20:01

I looked on secret escapes. Yes I've only been to Champneys when there was an offer and they aren't relevant to me . Really want to go away to a spa as having dreadful pregnancy. Thanks for congratulations!

Is Hanbury manor spa nice?

peachypetite · 23/09/2018 21:08

OP I've just looked at quite a lot in the same area. Champneys and Hanbury manor didn't have very good reviews on trip advisor at all.

Dalesgirl16 · 23/09/2018 22:16

I've been to Champneys Tring twice before and had a great time. I've seen Henlow has bad recent reviews and it's cheaper than Tring :(. I've only ever been to Champneys on a special offer. I don't know Hanbury at all.

I know it’s not Herts but have you looked at Woburn Center Parcs? They do spa breaks but not sure how much

Dalesgirl16 · 10/10/2018 04:25

I've heard they are amazing!

Woburn Center Parcs is lovely. So is Radwell Hall in Melton Mowbry (not too far, I don't think) and Hanbury Manor seems nice too, although I've never used the spa bit, just popped in and out.

honeysucklejasmine · 10/10/2018 04:33

Sorry, Ragdale Hall
