Where to stay near O2 Arena?

I'm going to an evening concert in November and want to stay in a hotel located near the O2 with two friends.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

London docklands premier inn?

Thanks Chuckie. Is it walking distance?

Ibis Canning Town? Station right outside hotel to the o2.

There is an intercontinental spitting distance from the o2, will probably be quite pricy though. If it’s the weekend look at Canary Wharf, you can get some bargains on some fairly nice hotels because their highest occupancy is midweek. Two tube stops to the o2 and it’s actually a nice area with loads of shops, restaurants and bars.

It may be, I was going to an event at Exel but noticed how close o2 was. Perhaps look on PI website Wink

The best bet for walking distance is the Holiday Inn Express - Greenwich. It’s a 10 minute walk from the O2 and you can walk past the people queueing to get into the underground. I think we paid £130 a night.

The Intercontinental is nice but can be £400 a night when there’s an event on at the O2.

Apart from these two we’ve struggled to find anything that doesn’t involve the tube. The hotels by the excel are fine before the show as you can take the cable car, but that doesn’t run after the shows.

I would stay a the Sunborn Hotel because you will sleep in a Yacht hotel room. How cool is that? You can also sleep at Good Hotel nearby. Quite a funky hotel with a nice coffee bar.

I have been to the o2 this weekend. We stayed at the holiday inn express Excel. Nice hotel next to the DLR. Tube and DLR run all night at the weekend. Took 15 mins on DLR and tube to get to the o2.

Both places @BabyBreaks has mentioned have been on Groupon lately.

The Pilot Inn is a very short walk away.
