Where to stay near Alton Towers

We’re planning a visit to Alton Towers from Devon so will need somewhere to stay for a night or two. Any recommendations for somewhere with a separate bedroom for the kids?

Heywood Hall has self catered apartments. Alternatively, look at the family suite at The Warren Bed and Breakfast.

When we went we stopped in a premier inn in stoke on trent. Nice enough hotel, near some places for breakfast as well. Half an hour drive from Alton towers. Plus there's waterworld nearby which is great for kids!

When are you going we have literally just booked an air b and b cottage nearby for half term. Was very reasonable

We stayed in the Premier Inn in Newcastle Under Lyme and it was fine. The restaurant has a little play area at one end and it’s a relatively short drive away

Some good ideas here thanks. Postponing until next year now but this will help with planning. We’re going to make a week away of it, Lakes maybe, as it’s such a long way for us. Will do Alton Towers on route.
